Chief Engr. Ademola Adetifa, Oluomo Oodua of Yorubaland and Mayegun of Aramoko-Ekiti, has presented a new car to his longtime friend, Mr. Olayemi Kolawole, in a heartfelt gesture of friendship, gratitude and appreciation.
The two friends met during their days at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), where they shared not only the experience of being students but also the struggles and uncertainties that came with trying to build a future.
Those formative years, when they had little but dreams, remain deeply etched in Chief Adetifa’s memory.
According to him, remembering those days reminded him of the journey they shared, the challenges they faced and the determination with which they both pursued their aspirations.
The decision to present Olayemi Kolawole with a new car is therefore not simply about giving a material gift. It is Chief Adetifa’s way of encouraging an old friend, supporting him in meeting the challenges of life and, most importantly, letting him know that the friendship and memories of their early years have not been forgotten.
The gesture also reflects Chief Adetifa’s personal philosophy of remembering the people who were part of his journey before success came.
Importantly, the gesture is not intended as an attempt to publicise everything he does for people. Rather, it is a simple expression of appreciation for a friendship that has endured over the years.
For Chief Adetifa, success should never erase one’s history.
