Chief Engr. Ademola Adetifa, the Oluomo Oodua of Yorubaland and Mayegun of Aramoko-Ekiti, is set to make history on Saturday, August 22, 2026, as he is conferred and installed as the first-ever Aare Bashorun of Araromi-Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
The prestigious traditional ceremony is expected to attract traditional rulers, community leaders, dignitaries, family members, friends and well-wishers from within and outside Ekiti State as Araromi-Ekiti celebrates the creation of a new chieftaincy institution.
The installation marks a significant milestone, not only in Chief Adetifa’s life but also in the traditional history of Araromi-Ekiti, as he becomes the pioneer holder of the Aare Bashorun title in the community.
Chief Adetifa is widely associated with philanthropy, youth empowerment, sports development and community support. Over the years, he has supported young talents, sporting initiatives, vulnerable members of society, widows and various individuals in need, earning recognition for his commitment to giving back and positively impacting lives.
His emergence as the first Aare Bashorun is therefore expected to add another dimension to his involvement in community development and traditional affairs.
Beyond the glamour and celebration that will accompany the occasion, the new title carries responsibilities of leadership, service and representation. As the pioneer occupant, Chief Adetifa will have the opportunity to help define the significance and legacy of the Aare Bashorun institution for generations to come.
The people of Araromi-Ekiti and well-wishers across Nigeria and the diaspora are expected to celebrate the historic occasion with Chief Engr. Ademola Adetifa as he assumes this distinguished traditional responsibility.
For Araromi-Ekiti, it is the beginning of a new chapter. For Ademola Adetifa, it is another call to service.
