Erinjiyan-Ekiti Kingdom witnessed a memorable celebration of tradition, honour and cultural heritage on Saturday, 17 October 2026, as Chief Engr. Ademola Adetifa, the Mayegun of Aramoko-Ekiti, Aare Bashorun of Araromi-Ekiti and Oluomo Oodua of Yorubaland, was installed as the Aare Abobatolu of Erinjiyan-Ekiti Kingdom.
The colourful ceremony attracted traditional rulers, distinguished personalities, family members, friends and well-wishers, all gathered to celebrate an occasion that adds another chapter to Adetifa’s growing traditional legacy.

The installation was performed by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oludare Adegoroye Omosebi-Agunsoye II, the Olohan of Erinjiyan-Ekiti, in recognition of an honour that further strengthens Adetifa’s connection with the kingdom and its cultural heritage.
A Nigerian-born, Canada-based business mogul, philanthropist, entrepreneur and community development advocate, Adetifa is recognised for his business pursuits and commitment to humanitarian causes. His latest traditional honour reflects the esteem in which he is held and presents a renewed opportunity to deepen his contributions to community advancement and human development.

The ceremony was marked by cultural splendour, excitement and goodwill, as guests celebrated the new titleholder in an atmosphere befitting the significance of the occasion.
As he assumes the revered title of Aare Abobatolu, expectations will naturally turn towards the enduring values of leadership, service, unity and community development that traditional honours represent.

Congratulations to Chief Engr. Ademola Adetifa on this distinguished honour. May this new chapter bring greater wisdom, wider opportunities to serve humanity and meaningful contributions to the progress of Erinjiyan-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Yorubaland and Nigeria.
Long live Aare Abobatolu! Long live Erinjiyan-Ekiti Kingdom!
