
Chief Engr. Ademola Adetifa, the Mayegun of Aramoko-Ekiti, is set to receive one of the most distinguished honours of his public life when His Imperial Majesty, Arole Oodua Oba Dr. Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the 51st Ooni of Ife, confers on him the prestigious title of Oluomo Oodua of Yorubaland.
The royal conferment and investiture ceremony is scheduled for Monday, December 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ooni of Ife Hall, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.


The honour is expected to recognise Chief Adetifa’s sustained commitment to humanitarian service, youth empowerment, community development and the advancement of Yoruba values and heritage. His philanthropic activities and support for people across different walks of life have continued to earn him recognition for using his resources and influence to positively impact society.
The conferment of the Oluomo Oodua title therefore represents more than a traditional honour. It is a recognition of service to humanity and an acknowledgement of his contribution to the wellbeing, unity and progress of the Yoruba people.

Following the royal ceremony in Ile-Ife, celebrations will continue in Chief Adetifa’s hometown, Aramoko-Ekiti, with a special entertainment programme scheduled for 2:00 p.m. until Mama calls. at AUD Primary School, Oke-Oja Quarters, Aramoko-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The entertainment programme will feature performances by Saheed Osupa and Boye Best, adding music and cultural celebration to an occasion expected to attract family, friends, traditional leaders, dignitaries and well-wishers from Nigeria and the diaspora.

The forthcoming ceremony is set to be a celebration of Yoruba heritage, service, philanthropy and community leadership, as Chief Engr. Ademola Adetifa takes on another distinguished traditional responsibility.
With Ile-Ife serving as the setting for the royal conferment and Aramoko-Ekiti providing the setting for the wider celebration, the occasion promises to connect tradition, culture, service and community in one memorable event.
