Oluomo Oodua of Yorubaland and Mayegun of Aramoko-Ekiti, Chief Engr. Ademola Adetifa, has demonstrated his commitment to gratitude and appreciation by presenting two new vehicles to individuals who played significant roles in his journey to success.
Chief Adetifa presented a new Mercedes-Benz ML 350 to his elder brother, Mr. Olusanya Adetifa, the first child of his late mother, in recognition of his immense support, mentorship and sacrifices during the early stages of his career.
According to Chief Adetifa, his elder brother was instrumental in introducing him to the oil and gas industry at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in 1999, marking the beginning of his professional journey in the sector.
Beyond introducing him to the industry, Mr. Olusanya Adetifa accommodated, supported and mentored him, while also teaching him valuable lessons about life, business and personal development. Chief Adetifa acknowledged that these early interventions played an important role in shaping the foundation upon which he later built his career and achievements in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
In another gesture of appreciation, Chief Adetifa also presented a new Toyota Camry, popularly known as the “Spider,” to Pastor Razaq Lasisi, a close friend of his elder brother, Mr. Gbenga Adetifa.
The gesture was in recognition of Pastor Lasisi’s kindness and financial support to Chief Adetifa during his years in higher institution. At the time, Pastor Lasisi was working with Equatorial Trust Bank, and whenever the young Ademola faced financial difficulties, he would turn to him for assistance.
Despite the amount involved, Pastor Lasisi consistently offered support whenever he could, an act of kindness that Chief Adetifa has evidently not forgotten.
The presentation of the vehicles, therefore, goes beyond material gifts. It reflects Chief Adetifa’s philosophy of remembering and honouring people who contributed positively to his life at critical moments.
His gesture underscores the importance of gratitude, loyalty and appreciation, particularly towards those who provide support during difficult stages of a person’s journey.
