
Funmi Adetifa Care Foundation (FACF) has called for the legacy of High Chief Coach Festus Adegboye Onigbinde to be immortalised, honoring his remarkable contributions to Nigerian football, youth development, and national progress.
Baba, as he was fondly called, passed away leaving behind a life marked by service, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to empowering young people. As a football icon and mentor, he inspired generations of athletes and sports enthusiasts, instilling values of integrity, dedication, and excellence.


High Chief Onigbinde’s impact extended beyond the pitch. He was a tireless mentor to young talents, an advocate for youth empowerment, and a guide who encouraged initiatives that fostered national development. His influence on Nigerian football and society remains profound and enduring.
According to the Convener, Funmi Adetifa, she stated that Baba’s life was a shining example of service, humility, and dedication to the growth of young people and the advancement of Nigerian sports. She noted that his legacy should not only be remembered but preserved through deliberate efforts that promote youth empowerment, discipline, and excellence in sports.

FACF also expressed heartfelt condolences to Barrister Onigbinde, their partner and neighbour, and the entire Onigbinde family. The Foundation prayed for strength for the family during this difficult period and that Baba’s gentle soul rests in perfect peace.
Emphasizing the importance of preserving his memory, FACF urged that Baba’s legacy be celebrated and immortalised. They called on Nigerians to honor his life by supporting initiatives that continue his mission of uplifting youth and sports, ensuring his vision and passion endure for generations to come.
