The recent donation of a 33KVA transformer to the communities of Iwaro, Amututu, Akindana, and Ijelu in Aramoko Ekiti stands as a powerful testament to purposeful leadership and selfless service. The Mayegun of Aramoko Ekiti and Oluomo of Oodua, Ademola Adetifa, has once again demonstrated that true love for one’s people is best expressed through action.
For over eleven months, these communities endured prolonged darkness. Today, light has been restored—not just through the hum of a transformer, but through the compassion and commitment of a son of the soil who chose to act. This intervention, alongside his numerous contributions—ranging from educational support and youth empowerment to infrastructure development and welfare assistance—reflects a consistent pattern of giving back.

His appreciation of the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, and the Senator representing Ekiti Central, Opeyemi Bamidele, further highlights the importance of collaboration between private citizens and government for sustainable development. As rightly noted, the government alone cannot meet all societal needs; progress becomes faster and more meaningful when individuals of means rise to complement public efforts.
This noble gesture serves as a timely reminder and gentle challenge to other well-placed individuals in our society. Wealth and influence find their highest purpose when used to uplift others. Communities thrive when those blessed with resources see giving not as an obligation, but as a responsibility.

As the saying goes, “The true measure of leadership is not in titles held, but in lives touched.”
May this act inspire our leaders, business owners, and influential figures to look inward and ask: What difference am I making in my community? Let us not wait solely on government or politicians. Let us show love to humanity in every sphere we occupy.

Indeed, when one person lights a lamp for others, the whole community shines brighter
