The Yoruba Youth Assembly has honored Ayo Hamilton Babajide, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sherlocks Agro Services Limited, with the Yoruba Youth Leadership Award of Integrity in recognition of his outstanding contributions to agribusiness development and youth empowerment.

The award was presented on February 23, 2026, during a ceremony attended by distinguished guests, respected elders, industry leaders, members of the press, and youths from across Yorubaland.
In its official remarks during the presentation, the leadership of the Yoruba Youth Assembly described Babajide as a visionary leader whose work in the agricultural sector continues to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.

According to the organization, at a time when Nigeria faces increasing demand for sustainable economic growth and food security, Babajide has demonstrated that agriculture can serve as a powerful driver of transformation and opportunity.
As the head of Sherlocks Agro Services Limited, Babajide has championed modern agricultural practices, strengthened agricultural value chains, and created opportunities that empower young people to participate actively in the agro-industry.
The Assembly also expressed appreciation for his broader commitment to youth development, particularly through sports. Beyond agribusiness, Babajide has invested in football development by establishing and supporting a football club that nurtures young talents and provides them with opportunities to gain international exposure, including taking promising players abroad to further their careers.

The Assembly noted that his leadership has helped support farmers, encourage local production, and contribute to broader economic development within communities.
“The Yoruba Youth Leadership Award of Excellence is reserved for individuals who demonstrate exceptional character, competence, and commitment to societal growth,” the organization stated during the presentation.
Babajide’s achievements, they added, serve as a powerful example to young people that agriculture is not merely a fallback career path but a dynamic field full of innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic potential.
The award presentation concluded with a call for continued collaboration between youth organizations, agricultural stakeholders, and business leaders to promote sustainable development and youth participation in agribusiness across the region.
The Yoruba Youth Assembly expressed confidence that Babajide’s leadership and commitment to development would continue to inspire future generations.
