It was a historic and joyful moment for the communities of Iwaro, Amututu, Akindana and Ijelu in Aramoko Ekiti as the Mayegun of Aramoko Ekiti and Oluomo of Oodua Land, Chief (Engr.) Ademola Adetifa, reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to both community development and the political continuity of the Ekiti State administration.
Speaking during the official presentation of a new 33KVA transformer to the affected communities—who had endured over eleven months of total blackout—Chief Adetifa declared unequivocally that his foremost political priority is ensuring the re-election of the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for a second term in office.

“My priority is Governor Oyebanji’s second term. I will deploy every resource within my capacity to ensure his victory and continuity in office,” he stated emphatically.
The transformer, delivered on his behalf by Mr. Gbenga Adetifa, fulfilled a promise he had earlier made to the people. The intervention restored electricity to the communities of Iwaro, Amututu, Akindana and Ijelu, bringing an end to months of hardship and darkness.

Chief Adetifa stressed that while government carries enormous responsibility, sustainable development requires collaborative support from capable and well-meaning individuals. He noted that Governor Oyebanji’s six-point development agenda aligns perfectly with his own vision for community growth and prosperity, describing the Governor’s agenda as one he fully identifies with and considers his personal roadmap for Aramoko Ekiti’s advancement.
He described Governor Oyebanji as not just a leader but an elder brother to the people of Aramoko Ekiti, particularly given the Governor’s maternal roots in the town. He expressed deep appreciation for the numerous appointments granted to sons and daughters of Aramoko Ekiti under the present administration and commended all government appointees from the community for their dedication, loyalty and outstanding service to Ekiti State. He thanked them for representing Aramoko Ekiti with dignity and excellence.

The Mayegun also extended heartfelt gratitude to the Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Opeyemi Bamidele, acknowledging his significant contributions to Aramoko Ekiti. He highlighted projects such as the construction of modern market stalls, installation of solar-powered streetlights, execution of key road projects within the town, and collaborative efforts with the Governor that facilitated the Federal Government’s rehabilitation of the Aramoko–Itawure–Ado road. He offered prayers for both leaders and assured them of his steadfast and unflinching political support.
Though a Canada-based businessman and respected oil and gas entrepreneur, Chief Adetifa emphasized that he remains committed to grassroots development and humanitarian service in his hometown. His long list of impactful interventions in Aramoko Ekiti includes:

– Donation and installation of a 33KVA transformer to restore electricity to Iwaro, Amututu, Akindana and Ijelu communities
– Grading of township roads and farmlands roads within Aramoko and surrounding areas

Chief Adetifa concluded by appreciating all sons and daughters of Aramoko Ekiti for their unity, cooperation and shared commitment to community progress.
Through purposeful giving, visionary leadership and firm political conviction, the Mayegun of Aramoko Ekiti continues to demonstrate that true love for one’s community is best expressed through tangible action—while making it clear that the continuity of Governor Oyebanji’s administration remains his top priority.
