In a continued demonstration of his commitment to youth development and grassroots sports advancement, Chief (Engr.) Ademola Adetifa, the Mayegun of Aramoko-Ekiti Kingdom, has sponsored six (6) promising young footballers and one coach to Lagos for further professional training and mentoring.
The beneficiaries were selected during the Mayegun Ademola Adetifa Football Finale Competition, held on 30th December, 2025, in Aramoko-Ekiti. The players were discovered and picked by former Nigerian international football stars Victor Agali and Mutiu Adepoju, whose presence added prestige and professional credibility to the tournament.
According to sources close to the programme, the Lagos training initiative is designed to expose the young talents to modern football techniques, disciplined mentoring, and professional scouting opportunities that could shape their careers both locally and internationally. The accompanying coach is also expected to benefit from capacity-building sessions that will enhance grassroots football development back home.

Speaking on the initiative, community leaders described the gesture as a bold step by the Mayegun in using sports as a tool for empowerment, unity, and social transformation among youths in Aramoko-Ekiti and beyond.
Residents of Aramoko-Ekiti have expressed optimism that the programme will open new opportunities for the beneficiaries and further strengthen grassroots football development in the community.
