NRM aspirant pledges business support to strengthen livelihoods and the local economy.
Hon. Adekunle Hafeez Ishola, popularly known as Ojuabere, has reaffirmed his commitment to market traders in Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, pledging business support if elected to the House of Representatives in 2027.

Addressing market women and men during his campaign, Ojuabere outlined two proposed empowerment initiatives aimed at helping traders grow their businesses, improve household incomes and contribute to the local economy.

Under the proposal, small-scale traders would be eligible for non-repayable business grants, while traders seeking larger amounts of capital could access interest-free loans, repayable without additional interest. According to the proposal, repayments would enable the loan funds to be recycled to support other eligible traders.
The initiative reflects a focus on the economic realities of market traders, many of whom work daily to sustain their families, create livelihoods and keep local commerce moving.

If effectively implemented, such support could help traders expand their businesses and strengthen economic activity across the constituency. Its impact, however, would depend on transparent eligibility criteria, fair distribution and a sustainable funding structure.
As the 2027 elections approach, the proposal adds market enterprise and grassroots economic empowerment to the issues voters can consider when assessing candidates and their development plans.

Ojuabere is seeking the constituency’s mandate under the National Rescue Movement (NRM), promoting a vision centred on opportunity, service and development.
