Tirimisiyu Ayanlowo “Lowo” Obisesan, mobilised members of the APC Progressives Movement from all 33 local government areas of the state for his Annual New Year Celebration held at his Eleyele residence.
The well-attended gathering, which officially marked the beginning of political activities for the year, drew an impressive mix of politicians, business leaders, community stakeholders, party faithfuls, and traditional rulers, turning the venue into a colourful political carnival.

Fatai Ibikunle; Senior Fatai Buhari, Senator representing Oyo Senatorial District and member of the South-West Development Commission; Chief Waheed Adebayo Adelabu, Federal Minister of Power; and Hon. Remi Abass Oseni, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency.
Other notable attendees included Alhaji Abduljelil Aboderin (Fakeu), Pa Rasheed (Baba Lelekuele), Alhaji Rafiu Adejumo (Rufy), Mr. Wasiu Ajimobi, younger brother of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi; Hon. Kunle Olayemi Aruba, Saheed, Alhaja Afusat Bello, Alhaji Ahmed Raji, Mrs. Bukola Akinloye, Prince Adegboola, and Alhaji Yekinni Ojo (Confident), among many others.

The event evolved into a vibrant political jamboree, symbolising unity that cut across party lines. Observers noted that the massive turnout sent a strong signal to opposition parties and the ruling PDP, indicating a possible realignment of political forces in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The gathering further underscored Barr. Obisesan’s growing influence and his capacity to mobilise grassroots support across the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Israel Olaniyi Fadare commended Barr. Obisesan for his visionary leadership and relentless commitment to political mobilisation and unity in Oyo State. He described him as a highly influential leader whose efforts continue to inspire confidence among party members and supporters.
He also expressed optimism that with collective effort and unity—“eye ki fi apa kan fo” (no bird flies with one wing)—the All Progressives Congress would reclaim power from the PDP-led administration in the 2027 elections.

The celebration ended on a high note with prayers for continued success, divine guidance, and sustained political engagement toward the development of Oyo State.
