There was an atmosphere of joy and gratitude in Ife Federal Constituency, Osun State, as the Funmi Adetifa Care Foundation (FACF), in collaboration with Hon. Sam Oyedotun (popularly known as OYUS), brought relief to vulnerable residents during the festive season.
The humanitarian outreach, which took place on Tuesday, 23rd December 2025, at Yemo Hall, Moore, Ile-Ife, saw the distribution of food items and cash support to indigent families across the constituency. The initiative was aimed at easing the burden on vulnerable households amid prevailing economic challenges and enabling them to celebrate the festive season with dignity.

The programme forms part of the continuous efforts of Hon. Sam Oyedotun, the Chairman of the Osun State Water Corporation Board and a leading aspirant for the Osun East Senatorial District, to alleviate hunger, reduce financial hardship, and promote social welfare among his people.
Speaking at the event, the Country Representative of Funmi Adetifa Care Foundation, Mr. ’Jide Alofe, explained the reason behind the partnership with the Sam Oyedotun Foundation.

“FACF deemed it necessary to partner with Sam Oyedotun Foundation because Hon. Sam Oyedotun has consistently been a source of blessings to the people of his constituency. He is a performer with a genuine heart for the people,” Alofe said.
He further assured that the foundation’s intervention would not end with food and cash support alone.

“We are committed to doing more in the areas of healthcare delivery and empowerment for the people of Osun East Senatorial District. This commitment is inspired by leaders like Hon. Sam Oyedotun, whose impact speaks for itself,” he added.
In his response, Hon. Sam Oyedotun expressed deep appreciation to the Funmi Adetifa Care Foundation for standing with the needy during the festive period.

“This initiative is a complementary effort to the Osun State Government’s commitment to reducing poverty and improving the welfare of our people,” Oyedotun noted.
He also used the opportunity to commend Governor Ademola Adeleke for the various developmental projects ongoing across the state, urging residents to support the governor for a second term.

“I appeal to the good people of Osun State to support Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term so that we can continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy,” he said.
Several beneficiaries who spoke with our correspondent expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and the foundation for remembering them during the festive season, noting that the combination of food items and cash assistance was timely and impactful.

The occasion was well attended by dignitaries, community leaders, and public servants from across Osun State.
