<\/p>\nA Non-governmental Organisation, Funmi Adetifa Foundation in collaboration with Hon. Samuel Oyedotun (OYUS) was on Tuesday distributed food items to indigent residents across Ife Federal Constituency of Osun State, easing the burden on vulnerable families amid current economic challenges.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The distribution was held at Yemo hall, Moore, Ile-Ife, Osun State which is part of the Oyedotun’s effort to relief people of hunger.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Oyedotun, who is the Board Chairman, Osun State Water Corporation, Osogbo and a leading aspirant for Osun East senatorial district in the National Assembly in 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The humanitarian exercise, benefited hundreds of people, including low-income earners, widows, the elderly, and persons living with disabilities. Essential food items such as rice, beans, garri, noodles, and cooking oil were shared during the exercise.<\/p>\n

Addressing beneficiaries at the event, Oyedotun said the initiative was motivated by a deep concern for the welfare of the less privileged and a commitment to giving back to society. He noted that collective efforts are needed to combat hunger and improve living conditions at the grassroots level.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur people are going through hard times, and many households struggle daily to meet basic needs. This gesture is to remind them that they are not forgotten,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He lauded Funmi Adetifa and SAM OYUS foundations for given to the needy, saying more of the gesture still coming by January, 2026. He added that this effort is to complement the Osun government at reducing poverty in state.<\/p>\n

Oyedotun lauded the state government of developmental projects going on and urged people of the state to support governor Ademola Adeleke for second term in office to continue enjoying dividends of democracy.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon. Durojaye Isaac who is also the Director General of Samuel Oyedotun campaign organisation, described the exercise as sign of relief for venerable and indigent people in Ife federal constituency especially when people are battling with fund scarcity.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He urged people to continue supporting individuals especially OYUS foundations that always put smile in the face of poor people in the society.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke, praised the initiative, describing it as timely and life-changing. Community leaders also commended Oyedotun\u2019s generosity, urging other individuals and organizations to support similar humanitarian causes.<\/p>\n

The distribution was conducted in an orderly manner with the support of volunteers, ensuring fairness and transparency. The organizers disclosed that plans are underway to extend the program to more communities within the state.<\/p>\n

The exercise underscores the growing role of private individuals in complementing government efforts to improve social welfare and support vulnerable populations in Osun State.<\/p>\n
